Important Security Alert 8/13/2026: Spoofing Attack Targeting CHFCU Members
Century Heritage has been made aware of an active spoofing attack targeting our members. Fraudsters are impersonating CHFCU through phone calls, text messages, and emails — falsely claiming that your CHFCU card has been compromised and that you must take immediate action. They may then ask for the last 8 digits of your card number.
This is a fraud attempt. CHFCU did not send these communications.
How the Scam Works
Phone Calls
Callers may appear to be from a legitimate CHFCU number, asking you to “verify” some or all your Card Number, Account Number, or PIN.
Text Messages
Texts urging you to click a link or call a number to “secure” your account.
Emails
Messages mimicking official CHFCU communications requesting personal or account information.
Our Promise to You
Century Heritage Federal Credit Union will NEVER ask for your personal information, account numbers, PINs, passwords, or card details via phone, text, or email without first verifying your identity through our secure, established process.

What to Do If You Were Contacted
Do Not Provide Any Information
Hang up, delete the text, or close the email immediately. Do not engage with the caller or sender.
Do Not Click Any Links
Links in suspicious texts or emails may lead to fraudulent websites designed to steal your credentials.
Call CHFCU Directly
Use the official number on the back of your card, call us at 412-650-2600 or visit chfcu.org to verify your account status.
Report the Contact to Us
Let us know what happened so we can track and respond to the attack effectively.

Call CHFCU Immediately
Our team will help secure your account right away using the number on the back of your card, call us at 412-650-2600, or at chfcu.org.
Freeze or Reissue Your Card
We can freeze or reissue your card to prevent any unauthorized transactions from occurring.
Change Your Credentials
Update your online banking password and PIN as soon as possible to lock out unauthorized access.
Monitor Your Account
Watch your account closely for any unauthorized or suspicious activity and report it immediately.
